Grand Theft Auto IV continues to hold the top spot

Grand Theft Auto IV continues to hold the top spot from its spirited rivals, even though it has suffered sliding sales figures (this week it was a 22 per cent drop) since it was released.

Race Driver: GRID, despite freezing problems reported by some console players, has stormed into second place, with last week's runner up, Age of Conan, slipping to 13th.

Sega Superstars Tennis moved up seven places to fifth, while Rock Band seems to have hit the sales wall somewhat, moving from that position down to ninth.

Quake Wars: Enemy Territory re-entered the charts at number 12 after the release of the 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. Although not delivering the same quality of gameplay as on the PC, console players are still reportedly very happy with the title.

Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 came back into the top 20 after a short time out of the limelight, but Fifa 08 finally plummeted down the lift shaft of low sales after news of the sequel started to emerge.

Boom Blox remained steady at 17th, while Cooking Mama 2 grimly hung on at 16.

Wii Fit wasn't even in the top 40, due to continued and protracted stocking problems in all major retailers.
