E3 2008 trailer selection - Part 5

Wednesday, 16 Jul 2008 10:49
Wario: Shake It involves a worrying amount of controller flailing. Will it catch on in the UK?
A bumper crop of trailers today, with the keynote speeches finally over and other companies spewing forth a truckload of trailers.

Kicking things off today we have Wario Land: Shake It, a 2D platform that involves shaking the controller about to open up sacks of gold coins (hence the name). The kid in the clip doing the shaking looks ridiculous, incidentally.

Next up is the new Prince of Persia game. A new style for the Prince, but will the game be as good as the Sands of Time trilogy?

LucasArts' Fracture is up next, featuring explosions, deformable terrain and other stuff like that:

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed won't be coming to the PC, for a number of ridiculous reasons, but those of you out there in console land might enjoy this 'TIE Fighter Factory' walkthrough:

Will Dark Void be just another generic third person game or will it offer something 'special'?

Darksiders: Wrath of War - the name doesn't inspire confidence, but the public seems to getting excited. Here's a CGI trailer.

Resident Evil 5. Don't need to say much more, just look at the clips.

Finally, Far Cry 2. It is worrying some PC players, who are worrying the curse of console-itis will afflict a game that was eagerly anticipated. Will it live up to the hype? Or will it be another Instincts?
