Dead Rising 2

UK Release Date: 25/09/2009 Developer: Blue Castle Games Publisher: Capcom Thursday, June 25, 2009 11:16 AM

The zombie infected Dead Rising returns with Dead Rising 2, coming to the Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3.

Dead Rising 2 is set a few years after the events of the original, where the zombie virus has spread accross much of the United States. The only man to stand in its way is Chuck Greene, a former motocross champion.

Capcom's picked up a new developer for the game, Blue Castle Games, but it will still retain the original's producer, Keija Inafune, in addition to several other members from Capcom's team.

Dead Rising 2 was announced on February 9th 2009 and is the first game in the series to come to Sony's PlayStation 3.

New objects to use against the zombies will be a specific focus for the development team, with a moose head making a surprising appearance. Online multiplayer is also rumoured to be included in the game, but this is currently unconfirmed.
