Bayonetta (PS3/360)

Bayonetta tells the story of a witch who shoots the heads off monsters masquerading as angels with guns on both her feet and hands.

Developed by Platinum Games and in co-operation with SEGA, Bayonetta has earnt the talent of Hideki Kamiya, the director of the critically acclaimed Okami and the first Devil May Cry.

Bayonetta will release simultaneously worldwide this autumn and is to be joined by a mature rating. This is due to the inclusion of over-the-top finishing moves that consist of "impalement with an iron maiden; decapitation with a guillotine; dismemberment with a chainsaw; and summoning a demon that bites, then rips characters apart."

In addition to the game's extreme violence, some female characters (especially Bayonetta) will perform "suggestive taunts and poses, including opening their legs or gyrating their hips."

The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game is described as a 'climax action game' that will blow the doors off the action genre once and for all.
