Mount and Blade release date announced

Mount and Blade will be coming out in the middle of September, so you'd better start buffing your codpieces in anticipation right now Friday, August 01, 2008 12:00 AM

Paradox Interactive has announced the release date for its intriguing chivalry-'em-up action-RPG title, Mount and Blade.

The game will be unleashed on the UK and European public on September 19th, 2008.

It is a single-player, third or first-person action/role-playing game, focusing on medieval combat and horseback riding.

Mount and Blade has been developed by the Turkish-based TaleWorlds Entertainment and has drawn much praise for its realistic horseback combat and sandbox gameplay.

Players can freely roam about the game world, hunting down bandits, engaging in trade, taking part in wars and, eventually, becoming a 'lord of the realm'.

Mount and Blade will be available in retail stores and on GamersGate as a digital download.
