Stalker: Clear Sky goes gold

Clear Sky is promising to deliver more than the overly ambitious first game managed, which could make it very special indeed Monday, August 18, 2008 12:00 AM

GSC Game World and Deep Silver have announced that Stalker: Clear Sky has gone gold, with an international release date confirmed for September 5th.

The game is, in case you have had your memory/mind wiped by a blast of radiation, the next game in the popular Stalker franchise (the first, Shadow of Chernobyl, was a surprise hit two years ago).

In Clear Sky, the player takes the role of another of the Chernobyl area's 'stalkers' in a period of time before the events of the first game.

Areas visited in Shadow of Chernobyl will be seen in Clear Sky, although they will be different as less time has passed since the disaster.

Intriguingly, the plot will also involve the player's character from the first game, Strelok, though we won't reveal quite he will be involved just yet.

Look out for the review on Gamezine soon!
