Minutes of Uncharted 2 gameplay footage

Uncharted 2 Monday, May 18, 2009 2:50 PM

Over five minutes of high-definition gameplay footage from Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

Naughty Dog co-founder Evan Wells wasn't lying when he said there were more exciting things awaiting us.

The video looks almost too good to be true. Gorgeous animations and visuals support a game that'll give you significantly more gameplay opportunities than Drake's Fortune.

Some of the stealth kills shown in the video are so tasty that you'll surely be wishing you could get your dirty mits on it right now.

Now there's no doubt that this footage is real-time, since the player controls every part of the action, even the run-and-gun section at the very beginning. You could just stop and aim at the vehicle if you wanted...but you'd be likely to be run over.

There's a number of ways to kill the folks in the level shown, from stealth to all out run and gun, but the stealth, melee, free climbing and everything else will all be spread like butter throughout the entire single-player campaign.
