Non-Metal Gear game next for Kojima Productions

Hideo Kojima can't wait to jump into a franchise that isn't Metal Gear.
Head of Kojima Productions, Hideo Kojima, is currently working on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for the PSP and he's taking an advisory roll over the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC release of Metal Gear Solid: Rising.
So what's next from Kojima and his team? Something that's not Metal Gear by the sounds of it. In an interview with our friend Jem Alexander of the Official European PlayStation Blog, Kojima-san revealed what he'd like to do:
"It will be kind of too late if I start thinking about after I've finished with Peace Walker and Rising. I'll probably have to plan before. But I always want to do my next original title and that's always on my mind.
"And, as I said before, I could kind of produce some other titles such as Zone of the Enders and I will like to plan that doing the producer side and also creating my original new title."
Zone of the Enders also looks like it's a very possible project for Kojima Productions for this generation of consoles.
"A lot of [people] love Zone of the Enders, and we love the title as well, especially at Kojima Productions and we always want to create one for the next gens as well," Kojima-san told Jem.
"Of course, Kojuma Productions has a long list of things we want to bring out, and of course Zone of the Enders is one on the top of the list. However, we have to manage staffing and work around projects so it's not going to be out too soon, but we are really considering it."
Great news. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be out in 2010.
