Guilty Gear: Accent Core PLUS due out May 6th

New Guilty Gear release shows there's life left in the PS2 Friday, April 08, 2011 5:00 PM

The countdown towards the release of Guilty Gear: Accent Core PLUS has ticked below the one-month mark, with the game due for the PS2, PSP and Nintendo Wii on May 6th.

For the first time, players will be able to make use of the Wii's 480p output to enjoy Guilty Gear with greater definition.

New gameplay features add to the fun, with a Battle Royale mode that supports three-man teams in head-to-head fights.

Fans of the series can expect a rebalanced fighting system, along with a lengthy story mode that looks into the histories of the heavy-metal-inspired characters.

Portable gaming enthusiasts may be pleased by the title's launch for the PSP at the same time as the static consoles, putting it at their fingertips from May 6th.

Guilty Gear: Accent Core PLUS is also testament to the longevity of the PS2, the best-selling console of all time.

First released in 2000, the Sony system is still a popular choice for millions of gamers the world over.
