Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 out November 8th

New Call of Duty title due in November Wednesday, May 25, 2011 10:24 AM

Remember, remember, the 8th of November - at least if you're a fan of the Call of Duty series of war games.

Combat returns to the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on that date with the latest in the first-person action series.

The sequel to the Game of the Year award-winning Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is titled, unsurprisingly, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

It promises much of the same in terms of the fundamental concept, although Activision chief executive officer Eric Hirshberg says there are some differences.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is by far the most epic Call of Duty experience yet," he explains.

"The teams at Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games have worked tirelessly to create for the Call of Duty player a scale that is unimaginable."

Against this grand scale, however, he adds that there is an attention to detail that helps to create "a level of polish and creativity" to drive forward the genre as a whole.
