Pudding Panic redefines weird

Is Pudding Panic the weirdest app yet? Tuesday, Tuesday, June 07, 2011 4:43 PM

Gaming apps offer a varied and colourful view of the virtual world, but Pudding Panic could compete for the title of strangest concept ever.

Created by Berlin developer kunst-stoff - which translates as 'plastic' or 'synthetic material' - the basic premise of the app is that the player has become so scared, they have turned into pudding.

As if that were not bad enough, these piles of quivering jelly are trapped on a ghost train and must escape the clutches of a horde of terrifying enemies by manipulating the tracks to lead their carriage safely back out into the daylight.

With weapons like the Kitty Bomb, "a kitten which is no longer so cute when it explodes", the 'weird level' on this one has been cranked up to 11.

And with iPod touch, iPad and iPhone versions to choose from, iOS gamers on any compatible device can try their hand at surviving the scares for themselves - after all, the proof of the pudding is in the eating...
