Alan Wake now giving PC gamers an American Nightmare

Alan Wake: a torch and a nail gun Wednesday, May 23, 2012 11:35 AM

Alan Wake's American Nightmare is now available to PC gamers after being released for download on Steam and GOG.

Remedy Entertainment have also promised that fans of the fictional author's gaming debut, Alan Wake, will get the added bonus of a 15 per cent discount when they purchase the new game.

Although an Xbox version was released back in February, Remedy said that the PC version is worth the wait.

"Our heritage is in developing PC games so naturally we’re thrilled to be bringing the newest Alan Wake story to PC gamers," explained Remedy's CEO Matias Myllyrinne.

"We’ve worked hard to continue to make the experience worthwhile to fans that wait patiently for our PC releases and we think they'll agree this is an excellent addition."

Nightmare is a stand alone spin-off to the original game and sees Wake pursuing his evil doppelganger, Mr Scratch, towards the town of Night Springs in a bid to save his wife Alice.

The 'Fight till Dawn' arcade mode challenges you to survive a full night of brutal onslaughts using nail guns and Uzis.
