Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes has equalled Fifa 12's chart topping feat in 2012 by securing its fourth consecutive week at number one on GFK's all-format list.
All in all, things have been quite static in the world of video game sales over the past week, with London 2012: The Official Video Game from Sega and The Amazing Spider-Man Beenox/Activision also both non-movers at two and three respectively.
However, Dead Island (Game of the Year Edition) from Techland, Deep Silver and Koch Media managed to edge up a place to fourth, despite a week-on-week fall in sales, while Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier was the week's big mover, with a 41 per cent increase in sales propelling it from ninth to fifth.
Continuing its resurgence, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 moved up two places to sixth, having been languishing outside the top twenty until just a few weeks ago.
Both The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fifa 12 slipped down a place, to seventh and eighth respectively, but it was Spec Ops: The Line from Take 2 that was the week's biggest loser, dropping from fourth to ninth following a hefty 48 per cent drop in sales.
Yet another recovery from Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games gives Sega two athletic-themed events in the top ten, as the opening ceremony of the real-life event edges ever closer.
Outside the top ten, Batman: Arkham City made a march from 14th to 11th place with just days to go before the new Dark Knight film makes its cinema debut.
New title The Sims 3: Diesel Stuff, which is a tie-in with the luxury Italian fashion house, could not break into the top 50, debuting at number 55.
It allows you to customise your Sims with the latest Diesel apparel, accessories and furniture.
