Konami shoots down 'fake' MGS5 preview

Konami has denied that it has anything to do with images posted online purportedly previewing Metal Gear Solid 5.
The images, supposedly captured at the San Diego Comic Con, showed a MGS5 logo with the words "Open Ground Reconnaissance Endeavour" above. Other screen shots contained the snippets "The moment we were cast out of heaven, we became monsters" and "A paradise is born of the bloodstained earth".
There also seemed to be some extracts of dialogue, with the lines "Would she have wanted this? That doesn't matter now", also featured.
Following the 'leak', Konami UK posted on Twitter: "More speculation, make of it what you will. ?#ogre? ?#mgs5? ?#pinch? ?#salt?"
The firm then appeared to get frustrated with being bombarded with comments and posted: "Seriously, just in case the ?#pinch? ?#salt? hashtags weren't enough - the chap who claims to have set up the fake rumours has been in touch."
Ken-Ichiro Imaizumi, the senior producer at Kojima Productions Konami Computer Entertainment Japan, then weighed in on the micro-blogging site.
"I've been asked about the screen shots of MGS5 on the game sites. These're ALL FAKE. We'll update when we're ready to announce," he said.
The 'faked' images follow an interview last month given by Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima to a French magazine and translated into English by the Escapist in which he apparently gave a preview of MGS5.
"On the topic of Metal Gear Solid 5, I can tell you two things," Kojima told IG Magazine. "There will be more infiltration, spying, and convincing people to do you 'a favour' than in the previous MGS. I loved the idea of the social interactions in Deus Ex: Human Revolution that we've seen. And if I say more about it, the ninja PR woman behind the door will chop me into pieces."
