Battlefield 3: Armored Kill due in September

Battlefield 3: Armored Kill is out in September Monday, August 27, 2012 7:32 PM

The next helping of Battlefield 3 multiplayer goodness has been dated by EA and will drop this September.

Armored Kill DLC will launch on PS3 on September 4th for Battlefield Premium members, then a week later for Xbox 360 and PC gamers.

EA said non-members will receive access to the latest add-on on September 18th on PS3 and September 25th on Xbox 360 and PS3.

Phew, that's quite a complicated release slate for what is in effect a new map pack for a game that's nearly a year old.

But let's not be too disparaging of the DLC before we've tried it. DICE is promising new tanks and other vehicles, as well as mobile artillery and four new maps.

It also says that one of these will be the biggest map in Battlefield history - so prepare to lose yourself to the tactical first person shooter all over again next month!

Although no price has yet been announced, access to Armored Kill will be free for Battlefield Premium members who have paid the one-off fee for early access to all five expansion packs, as well as exclusive in-game items and features.
