Jonathan Blow's Braid
If Braid ever comes to the PlayStation Network it won't be until August at the earliest.
We brought you Jonathan Blow's admission that a PlayStation version was a possibility, but that such a release would
depend on Sony's interest.
Now Jonathan has told
our friends at PS3Attitude that an exclusivity agreement means the title can't make its journey to the PS3 until after August. Moreover, though a PSP release is currently possible, publishers aren't terribly interested in such an outcome.
Blow comments on the growing rumour that the hit Xbox LIVE Arcade title is coming to the PlayStation Network:
"Anything new about Braid on PSN is a completely unfounded rumour that someone
(I first saw it on N4G) pulled out of their ass. They heard about Hothead doing the Mac port and then decided to guess randomly about what that means for the PS3. It doesn't mean anything for the PS3."
However, there is hope for a PSN release, since Jonathan tells
PS3Attitude:
"I would like it for the game to come to PSN, but this requires some negotiations to happen that haven't happened yet. They might happen though. I would say that if the game were to come to PSN, don't expect to see it until August or later. But then again, it might not at all."
Braid is available for PCs on
March 31st.
