250GB PS3 Slim bundles confirmed for UK

A number of 250GB PS3 Slim bundles have been confirmed for the UK and the rest of Europe.

A £284.99 250GB PS3 Slim console bundle will be coming to the UK on October 1st, as we had previously revealed.

Initially offering any two Sony published platinum titles or Sucker Punch's inFamous, the bundle will eventually include Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves on October 16th.

On October 19th, a Blu-ray movie pack will follow, including Wolverine, The Dark Knight and the console's remote.

Being only £35 more than the standard 120GB PS3 Slim, the 250GB Slim with games included surely looks like it'll be a hit. The bundle will cost 349 Euros on the Continent.

"The 250GB PS3, with its larger storage capacity, will allow owners to take full advantage of the incredible software line-up and the many multimedia functions available on PS3, whether that is storing and viewing your family photographs, listening to your entire music collection in crisp quality, or watching your favourite home videos or TV shows," a Sony statement reads.

"More storage allows you to download more of the latest games and add-ons from PlayStation Store, as well as movies in both HD and SD from the PlayStation Network video delivery service when it launches later this year, without worrying about running out of space."

A 250GB Final Fantasy XIII special edition has also been announced for Japan. With a recommended retail price of 41,600 yen (including tax) the bundled console will sport a ceramic white colour and the game's heroine, Lightning, printed on the surface. The bundle will be released on December 17th in Japan.


Microsoft recently announced two 250GB Xbox 360 Elite bundles, priced at £249.
