Free Home Goodies for the Speedy

Thursday, 04 Dec 2008 13:46
Run for the Shops!
The PlayStation Home Closed Beta is coming to a close and the testers are bored of the same faces day in day out. So to reward them, for a limited time only, there be free treats awaiting Beta testers.

There was a rumour making the forum rounds, which stated that the currently closed shops in PlayStation Home would once again open with a healthy helping of content.

An Official PlayStation Forum moderator, CydoniaX, has not only confirmed the rumour, but has added to its sweetness:

"After our scheduled downtime is up early Thursday morning, items will be reinstated in the Mall.

Our advice: Go and get them as soon as you can. For a short time only, these items will be free. And you will retain them after Open Beta.

But if you snooze on this you lose, because these will be for sale items after Open Beta, when we start our commerce model. Not to worry though, they will be cheap, and we will continue to have free items in Home on a regular basis.

Consider this a thank you for being beta testers. You all are great!"

So what can you get for free if you're in the Beta? A selection of three new outfits for each gender, a Summer House, and a number of new ornaments, including a robot and origami dog.

If you don't get them now, they're going to cost a bit of lolly. Go shop.
