PS3 Slim sells 150,000 in Japan

PS3 Slim
The PS3 Slim has sold an incredible 150,000 during its launch week in Japan.

We told you that PS3 sales crashed in Japan prior to the release of the PS3 Slim. At just over one-thousand units in one week, it was the PS3's poorest performance.

However, it turns out that this was the calm before the storm, with the PS3 Slim launching at a massive 150,252 units in the week ending 6th September, according to Famitsu.

This is the biggest weekly number the PS3 has achieved in Japan since, well ever. At its 2006 launch the PS3 sold "only" 88,000 units due to shortage issues.
