Sony's attempts to cut costs will see them move technology and business from London to India
The pricing war between Microsoft and Sony continues apace, with reports the latter is apparently seeking to cut its costs by moving a lot of its games development activities to India.
DNA India
has reported that Sony will be transfering technology to the subcontinent from its London studio, in a bid to cut the costs of developing games.
Atindriya Bose, Sony's country manager in India, told DNA India: "The future of the Indian game development market will depend on the quality of the game developers who are starting at a zero base."
Bose also believes that the company could break even in three years if all goes well.
This news won't necessarily go down well in the UK, where concerns are already being raised about the leaking of talent and business to other countries.
The Games Up? campaign has been specifically set up to talk about and lobby the government on these issues.
