Big Brother game in the pipeline
Wednesday, 02 Apr 2008 11:00
I can't wait for the new Big Brother game, seriously
In a move sure to unanimously excite the entire gaming community, production company Endemol has revealed plans to develop video games based on its TV shows, namely reality "favourite" Big Brother.
The firm, also responsible for Deal or No Deal, revealed it has its own internal studios in Los Angeles working on creating titles for the casual gaming market on PC and potentially consoles as well.
Eric LaVanchy, Endemol's head of games, told industry magazine MCV: "Online PC casual games is an area of focus for us.
"However, one of the conundrums of being involved in casual gaming is that it’s such a nebulous term. That said, looking at the distributed arcade platforms on the consoles – particularly WiiWare and Xbox Live Arcade – is certainly very interesting to us as well."
There have been Big Brother games before. The first two series spawned a game based on each. Both were nauseatingly bad, receiving spectacularly low scores from various media outlets.
