The Force Unleashed due in September

Friday, 04 Apr 2008 09:21
See, the Sith aren't all bad...
After a number of delays, setbacks and quashed rumours, the Force has been confirmed for release in Europe on September 19th.

Players will take the role of Darth Vader's secret apprentice during the time between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Vader wants the galaxy rid of the Jedi scourge, charging the player with this particular genocidal task. LucasArts promises the title will "unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy."

They also described the game as "one of the most ambitious projects" it has ever launched. More ambitious than Yoda's Desktop Adventures? Surely not.

Spike TV will aggressively promote The Force Unleashed in the US, mainly by showing the full series of Star Wars movies, interspersed with trailers, gameplay footage and news updates.

The game will be available on Xbox 360, PS2 and PS3, Wii, DS and PSP. No news as yet on any potential PC version.
