Rumour: LucasArts Cancel Indiana Jones Game

Indy Game
LucasArts has cancelled the next Indiana Jones video game, say speculative secret sources and rampant rumours.

IGN reports that the long-time-coming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Indiana Jones game is no longer coming-at-all.

The website heard the sorry news from both internal LucasArts employees and external contacts, with the unofficial word being that developers are already being moved on to other projects.

We haven't heard much of the game since 2007 and so the chance of its continued existence is diminishing. Then again, although LucasArts has told IGN that they won't comment on rumour and speculation, Joystiq.com has had more luck.

A LucasArts representative told them;

"LucasArts remains absolutely committed to the Indiana Jones franchise. While we are aware that fans have been eagerly awaiting additional information on the upcoming game, they can rest assured that details are forthcoming."

Who knows what to believe.
