Exciting Gran Turismo 5 rumours

Cryptic messages on the GTPlanet forum point towards a late-2009 release for Gran Turismo 5, as well as other exciting pieces of information.

GTPlanet, one of the internet's biggest Gran Turismo websites, was host to a number of cryptic clues from premium member amar212 last week. He's not a moderator, but simply a well respected figure on the forums, so his comments might very well be wishful musings.

However, the effort with which he's gone to is surely enough to suggest some kind of truth. You can read his original post by making your way over to GTPlanet, but after a little decoding his clues point towards the following items of information.

Worldwide release within the next 12 months, possibly December 1st 2009.

600+ cars, 96 tracks with remakes from GT4.

Track editor splicing routes from existing tracks.

Voice chat, party mode, clan support.

Two releases, one SKU which gives you access to all future DLC, and another cheaper option that will let you purchase DLC separately.

GT mobile on PSP (or PC).

We already knew about Gran Turismo on the PSP and we were hoping that the PlayStation 3 game wouldn't slip into 2010. We'd love to see a Gran Turismo 5 with over 600 cars and 96 tracks this year.
