BioShock PS3 to sink without trace?

Monday, 06 Oct 2008 12:59
BioShock, the flawed underwather shooter, could be in danger of sinking without trace on the PS3
Gamersplatform has reported that many of those anticipating the upcoming release of BioShock on the PlayStation have been disappointed by the demo.

The report claims that said demo is riddled with bugs, errors and glitches, none of which appeared on the Xbox 360 and PC versions released what seems like aeons ago now.

Gamersplatform.com highlights a few of the 'killer' problems, as submitted on the official forums.

First of all, users have alleged that the graphics leave a great deal to be desired, with pixellated textures and ugly character models.

Despite this, there have also have been claims of framerate problems during specific sequences, especially the opening bathysphere descent.

Gamersplatform claims some people have been pulling their pre-orders of the game on the PS3 becauses of their disappointment with the demo.

It is only a demo, after all, but PS3 owners who have been looking forward to this might start to get a bit worried.

Breaking News: Gamersplatform has 'clarified' its position a little since this news item was first posted. They now say 2K have been informed of the problems and a fix will be issued forthwith. Well done 2K for dealing with the issues so swiftly.
