Insurers blame Wii Fit for home damages

Monday, 16 Jun 2008 10:49
Wii Fit has been blamed for an unprecedented number of accidents up and down the country
A poll conducted by female-only insurer Sheila's Wheels has indicated that Wii Fit is to blame for an unprecedented rise in living room accidents across the UK.

Flower pots, television sets and even household pets have all been adversely affected by the high kicking, hula hooping women using the fitness game.

Nearly a fifth of all women polled claimed to have "got carried away" with the exercise routines, with Sheila's Wheels causing an average £6.55 worth of damage.

This adds up to a national bill of £20.1 million, the Daily Telegraph has said.

Wags have put money on how long it will be before Nintendo is hit with an ambulance-chasing lawsuit by an opportunistic legal enterprise...
