FFXIII demo pushes Advent Children in Japan

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
The Final Fantasy XIII demo included on the FFVII: Advent Children blu-ray prompted sales of over 100,000 on its Japanese launch day.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete went on sale in Japan last week, a re-release of the CG movie.

The Blu-ray included the first playable demo of Final Fantasy XIII, which was said to consist of over an hour of gameplay, in addition to revealing the final game's release date.

From the numbers it looks like this highly anticipated game promoted impressive sales for the Blu-ray, where over 100,000 copies were sold in its very first day.

This is especially impressive when you consider that Japan's top selling blu-ray anime of 2008, Macross F, only sold 34,742 copies.
