Free Realms
The free family-friendly online game Free Realms has reached over one-million unique users in only 20 days.

Sony Online Entertainment's Free Realms, which launched on April 28th, has managed to reach a massive one-million unique users milestone.

To mark the achievement all current players will be given a limited edition in-game t-shirt, with the one-millionth player being awarded a lifetime membership, an in-game astronaut suit and 10,000 in Station cash.

"The excitement surrounding Free Realms, and the positive response the game has already received, is overwhelming," said John Smedley, president of SOE.

"To achieve this milestone so rapidly speaks to the quality and the fun gameplay experience Free Realms offers to players of all ages."

The game is free-to-play but also includes a membership for access to greater areas, in-game items and more. Free Realms is also in development for the PlayStation 3, but it won't be released until the end of the year.

  • "I heard a lot of good reviews about this game aside from the fact that it's free, but I haven't tried it yet. Is it as exciting as grinding warcraft gold on WoW? It looks like that it's just for kids, isn't?"
