Mythos beta goes offline

The Hellgate servers are still up, although the Mythos ones have been closed down
Last week, Gamezine broke the sad news of Flagship Studios making all its staff redundant and closing down development of its games.
Subsequently, the beta test of its free MMO, Mythos, has also now gone offline, much to the disappointment of the fans.
The game's servers shut down late on Friday, although the official statement says they are only on a 'hiatus'.
There are reports doing the rounds that HanbitSoft of Korea will be picking up the pieces from the Flagship debacle and developing Mythos internally, but these rumours are just that at the moment.
"Despite this bump in the road, I think we've succeeded wildly," said executive producer Max Shaefer in a post on the game's forums.
"This is undoubtedly the best game community I've ever seen," he added.
The future of Hellgate: London, Flagships' other game, remains in a similarly precarious state. No new subscribers are currently being taken and existing players are also not being billed for it.
The servers are still live, as far as we here at Gamezine can tell, but how long this will remain the case, nobody knows.
