No more boar-killing in WoW

No boars here, nosirree
The oft-lambasted 'boar-killing' quests that have caused peturbation and despair in the World of Warcraft community are being forced out the door, according to PC Zone.

The magazine's on-site bloggers at Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational in Paris have revealed that the early quests players will undertake in Wrath of the Lich King will no longer fall under the 'generic hunting quest' umbrella.

Lich King is the second expansion for the mind-bogglingly successful World of Warcraft MMORPG and early missions will now include bombing runs and feeding plaguehounds.

Though there will be some 'collect x of y' quests, they won't be as dull (allegedly) as previous iterations.

"The available quest was a little different to your average kill-30-of-this number," wrote the Zone blogger, Ed Zitron.

"I was required to hack up as many Vrykul as possible until three of their heroes spawned, who I needed to not only kill, but actively desecrate in their bloody deaths with a Forsaken flag."
