Ubisoft announces new Prince of Persia game
Tuesday, 29 Apr 2008 09:53
The Prince will return soon, but will he be bring Godsmack along with him again?
Ubisoft has announced a new Prince of Persia game, set for release towards the end of 2008 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. This will be the first Prince game developed with the new generation of consoles in mind.
As usual, it will be developed by Ubisoft's Montreal studio, the same team responsible for the Sands of Time trilogy. Ubisoft are making the right noises about the new game, claiming it is "poised to rejuvenate the action-adventure genre".
A Nintendo DS-specific version is also being developed, featuring a new storyline and characters. No more details are available at present.
The Prince of Persia franchise was relaunched in 2003, garnering over 30 awards since then. To date, the series has sold approximately 10.3 million units across the globe.
The official site will be drip-feeding information on a regular basis, so check it out
