Black Sequel Looks Less Likely

Black: The Second Coming might not being coming to a console near you anytime soon.

The title listed on Criterion's website was actually Black: Second Mission, but a little bit of embellishment is always healthy. Especially when you consider that Criterion's power is behind the game.

We were hoping that the brief sequel listing was a sign that the game was on its way to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PCs in 2009, but Eurogamer's 24 hour blog, Videogaming247.com, tells us that the rumour isn't true.

However, that's all their "well-informed source" can tell us, so we'll happily presume that the game is still being made, even ignoring the following Criterion words from earlier in the year;

"Sorry to disappoint you, but as we've mentioned many times on our podcast we're not looking at making another Black game any time soon.

"Although the rumours never seem to go away and we still get a lot of letters from fans, we're honestly not working on that game at the moment. I doubt the rumours will go away though."
