CliffyB: PC won't get GoW2

Cliff Bleszinski, the infamous and outspoken press mouthpiece for Epic Games, has said the PC will "definitely not" get a version of Gears of War 2.

Talking to Gameplayer.com.au, CliffyB responded to questions about whether it was inevitable the game would be coming out on PC in the end with a defiant no.

However, even now his statement could be interpreted in more than one way.

Consider this:

"Is it inevitable...?"

"No, definitely not".

Now, could one not read into this that it isn't inevitable it will be coming out on PC ... but that doesn't mean it won't, that there is still a small chance?

Maybe. Considering the flat reception the first game got on PC, perhaps it isn't actually a bad thing that it won't be, especially considering wags have already dubbed the game 'Gears of War 1.5', due to it not looking spectacularly different to the first game, to put it mildly.

Gameplayer.com.au also says that Microsoft Game Studios might not be too happy with the game now coming to PC either, so again we'll just go with 'never say never'.

CliffyB did also say that bringing the game to the PlayStation 3 was still an option, though "we don't think our publisher would be too happy with that".
