It is getting agonising, with yet another delay, but Left 4 Dead will finally be out on the anniversary of Half-Life 1's release
Valve are keen to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the release of seminal first-person shooter, Half-Life.
So much so that they are delaying the release of eagerly anticipated co-op zombie blaster, Left 4 Dead, for two weeks, so that the new date falls on the same day.
According to Dutch gaming site,
GameKings, Valve co-founder and managing director, Gabe Newell, said Left 4 Dead would now be coming out on November 20th for the Xbox 360 and PC (the latter via Steam).
For those who are unaware of Left 4 Dead, it is a survival horror game that involves teaming up with three other humans to combat a vast horde of zombies, 'the infected'.
One of the more intriguing features will be the fact a handful of other human players can take control of 'super' zombies, to provide an extra challenge.
Although it is using a relatively old graphics engine, namely Source, there are very few games that are being looked forward to this year as much as this.
Here's hoping it lives up to expectations...
