Would you let this man direct a GTA IV movie?
Age of Conan developer, Funcom, has managed to get more than one million people to sign up for the beta test of the hotly anticipated MMORPG.

According to Funcom, it is the highest number of beta testers recorded for an MMO in the western world.

Grand Theft Auto IV has become the most profitable entertainment release ever, breaking all other film, book and video game records.

Figures reveal GTA IV managed to sell 3.6 million units just on the first day of release, earning $310 million (£155 million) by doing so.

The previous record had been held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, that film managing a piffling $220 million (£110 million) in its initial 24 hour slot.

Microsoft boss Bill Gates has decided to invest a hefty sum in South Korean development, in a bid to strengthen the firm's presence there.

The sum is set to be $147 million (£73 million), which newspaper reports suggest will be invested in education, auto and other fields.Indeed, Microsoft and Korean car producers Hyundai Motor have also partnered up to establish an auto IT innovation centre.

Leaked screenshots of Too Human have found their way onto the internet today, hours before they were to be officially unveiled at the Xbox Media Summit.

This follows the other embarrassing "leakage" story of the day, which say a number of Fable 2 screenshots sneaking out prematurely into the public eye.

Yesterday also say Banjo Kazooie and Viva Pinata 2 leaks, prompting both excitement among gamers and swift statements of clarification on behalf of the developers.

Infamous movie director, Uwe Boll, has made himself available to head up any film project based on the Grand Theft Auto franchise.

In words set to send shivers down the spines of gamers everywhere, Mr Boll said: "Grand Theft Auto would be super interesting for me, and I think I would actually be the right guy to do it.

"... My movies are all bloody and violent and I don't have a problem with action scenes."

Fans of the franchise may well be relieved to hear Mr Boll has come to terms with his being unlikely to be given the opportunity to direct the project.

"But look, they will go, in the end, with a Michael Bay or a Brett Ratner, and it will be a PG-13 movie made for $150 million. I think it would be better to make a $30 million, very hard, brutal movie without compromising, but I'm not optimistic."
