PlayStation Home Space
Managing Director of Bethesda Softworks states that Sony's PlayStation Home could be a defining moment in the video games industry.
In a feature on the
Official PlayStation website, Sean Brennan comments that he is most looking forward to;
"Home: if it lives up to expectations it could be a defining moment in the industry."
Of course,
if it lives up to Sony's expectations is
should be a defining moment. For that to happen, they better take heed of the Gamezine reader's PlayStation Home formula:
advertising, expansion, and free.
In the very same feature, David Reeves, President of SCEE, makes it clear that Sony's early 2009 goal is to make the PlayStation 3 profitable;
"The most important thing for us as a company in the very short term is for us to start making money. This is a pledge that was made last March and is something that we are still very much on target to achieve.
"Once we have achieved this, I think it will be a very exciting time for PlayStation. Once we have alleviated that specific pressure, we can move forward at a rate of knots."
