EA unveils 'best ever line-up'

Wednesday, 20 Aug 2008 08:24
Is this EA's best ever games line-up? Even the skeptics have to agree it is pretty impressive
Electronic Arts yesterday revealed its upcoming line-up of new titles at the Leipzig Games Convention, branding them its 'best ever' range.

The company believes the line-up "demonstrate[s] the innovation and creativity of its portfolio for seasoned gamers and newcomers alike".

Among the games on show at the convention are FIFA 09, Mirror's Edge, Dead Space, Dragon Age: Origins, Battleforge, Spore and Crysis Warhead.

"Never before has EA had such a diverse and powerful slate of offerings, and it’s been great to see consumer and critical response to our games," said Jens Uwe Intat, senior vice president and general manager of EA European Publishing.

"As more and more people come into interactive entertainment, we are ready with the best games in sports, action, casual, horror, simulation, and online.

"We’ll be bringing more new games to market this year than in our history, and Leipzig is a great European window to showcase those offerings for the broad range of people that love to play them."

A press briefing planned for today (August 20th) will showcase:

  • FIFA 09
  • The Sims 3
  • SimAnimals
  • Boogie SuperStar
  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
  • Littlest Pet Shop
  • Monopoly
  • Red Alert 3
  • Warhammer Online
  • Dragon Age: Origins
  • Need for Speed: Undercover
  • Rage
