Hulkamania Wrestling delivers big boot to the face of games industry
Tuesday, 22 Apr 2008 16:32
To all my little Hulkamaniacs, say your prayers, take your vitamins and you will never go wrong
Gameloft today announced a licensing agreement with legendary wrestling icon, Hulk Hogan. The deal brings the immortal leg dropper to mobile phones for the first time.
"We are excited to be expanding the Gameloft family of licenses into the wrestling genre and are delighted to do so with a man as renowned as the [immortal] Hulk Hogan," raved Gonzague de Vallois, senior vice president of publishing at Gameloft.
"Wrestling fans are fanatical about having access to their favorite sport and our new Hulkamania Wrestling will let them enjoy it everywhere."
“Hulkamania is alive and well and I’m excited to give my fans a mobile game that is true to my experiences in wrestling,” said Hulk Hogan. "I’m confident that Gameloft will inject their signature style to produce the ultimate wrestling game for all my fans to enjoy on the go."
Hulkamania Wrestling promises to give fans a realistic grappling experience in isometric 3D, complete with big boots, atomic leg drops and interactive Hulking-up. Chair shots, tables and other weapons will also be available, allowing players to dominate the ring just like Hogan does.
The game will be appearing in and around August 2008, so all the legions of Hulkamaniacs out there better start saving up for it.
