Assassin's Creed 2
Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed 2 developers diary not only provides new details, but new gameplay footage too.

Featuring a new hero, a young Italian noble named Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Assassin's Creed 2 is set against the backdrop of Renaissance Italy, where Ezio will befriend Leonardo da Vinci, take on Florence's most powerful families and travel through the canals of Venice as he becomes a master assassin.

Like its predecessor, you'll be able to perform missions when and how you want, but the game will also feature new additions such as swimming, disarming enemies to use their weapons against them, two hidden blades and even flying.

The following developers diary will provide context for the game's position in the franchise, as well as the team's creative processes when creating the game. You'll also spot some new gameplay footage.

Assassin's Creed 2 is set to simultaneously release for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 17th 2009. Enjoy the game's developers diary below.
