Bayonetta to release simultaneously on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3

There was some confusion over the platform release of Bayonetta after Famitsu magazine's latest issue only listed the title in an Xbox 360 section.

The magazine's upcoming games section is where we spotted the arcade shoot 'em up Mamonoro. It's also where Bayonetta was listed in the Xbox 360 section, but failed to make its way into the PlayStation 3 list.

Some believed this meant that Platinum Games' title was a timed Xbox 360 exclusive. However, we contacted publisher Sega on the matter, with a representative giving us the following response:

"I can confirm that Bayonetta will have a simultaneous release on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360."

It looks as though Bayonetta was still confirmed as a PS3 game in the magazine, but that it failed to make the list. Whatever the case, the game that's meant to "blow the doors off the action genre" will release simultaneously on both platforms.
