F.E.A.R. 2 PC to get difficulty patch

Monday, 02 Mar 2009 14:04
F.E.A.R. 2
Monolith heard the calls from the Project Origin community. FEAR 2 is to get tougher.

In his review, our very own Chris Capel argued that F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin wasn't as good as its predecessor for the simple fact that it was too easy:

"What’s certain though is that F.E.A.R. 2’s lack of challenge corrupts every part of the game, from the level design to the scares."

So the news that Monolith is working on a patch that'll make the game more challenging is just what we wanted to hear. Especially Chris "The Tingler" Capel, who says that such a patch has the potential to greatly improve the score he gave the game.

F.E.A.R.'s community manager told fans on the Project Origin forums:

"We are currently working on a patch for the PC version of F.E.A.R. 2 that we hope to release in the coming weeks.

"In this patch we are modifying game difficulty to make the "hard" setting more challenging, adding the option to toggle film grain and head bob, and several other small fixes."

Splendid.
