BioWare: Mass Effect 2 "probably" coming to PS3 [UPDATE]

Mass Effect 2
BioWare has reportedly stated that Mass Effect 2 will 'probably' come to the PlayStation 3.
Will the rumours stop? No, it seems. Rumours of Mass Effect 2 coming to the PS3 have abounded even before the game was officially announced in March of this year.
The reason for the rumours? BioWare was purchased by EA in 2007, a publisher who is known to release all of their games accross multiple platforms for maximum sales.
However, the company has
continued to state that Mass Effect 2 is only releasing for the Xbox 360 and PC. The game will even be
exclusive to the Xbox 360 for a limited time.
But the rumours don't stop. And today another comes from Poland's biggest gaming event, Poznan Game Arena (PGA), on 16th and 17th October.
BioWare gave two presentations at the event, one for Dragon Age and the other for Mass Effect 2.
Polish website
Polygamia reports that Jay Watamaniuk of BioWare, and writer on Mass Effect 2, talked of three platforms for the game: Xbox 360, PC and "probably the PS3."
This is the first time anyone at BioWare has admitted to PS3 development on the title. However, Watamaniuk then stood back from his statement when asked, stating (as usual) that he would "not comment on rumour and speculation."
Mass Effect 2 is set to release for the Xbox 360 and PC in
early 2010.
[UPDATE] - Watamaniuk has reiterated that there was a misunderstanding in Poland on the BioWare forums:
"There is a report circulating today based on an appearance I made in Poland yesterday. Seems there was a misunderstanding about ME2 coming to PS3," he wrote.
"Let me clarify today: ME2 is coming to PC and X360 only."
