Killzone 2 debuts at number one

Killzone 2 manages to reach the top of this week's UK All Formats Chart.

As we revealed in our preview, for the week ending 28th February, Killzone 2 became Sony's first UK All Formats number one in almost two years, with their last being the PlayStation 2's God of War 2.

Killzone 2 is also the fourth fastest selling Sony published title in the UK, or second fastest on the PlayStation 3 behind Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.

Both Killzone 2 and Halo Wars only launched on February 27th, so in one day they managed to top both Wii Fit (down 11%) and Street Fighter IV's (down 49%) weekly sales.

Of course, although Halo Wars could not meet the heights of Halo 3, it did become the fastest selling Xbox 360 RTS, beating Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars by almost 3 to 1.

Most titles have dropped in sales, with an exception made for Professor Layton, which manages to re-enter the top ten after renewed stock. The only other new entry, Silent Hill: Homecoming, manages to debut at number 11 despite limited fanfare.
