Rumour: Uncharted 2's competitive and cooperative multiplayer

Uncharted 2
We know there's a big Uncharted 2: Among Thieves reveal next week and we also know there's going to be some surprises. Sources claim that one of the surprises might well be cooperative and competitive multiplayer.

Destination PlayStation, a Sony PlayStation show off event in LA, occurred last week. Games including Heavy Rain, PixelJunk 1-4, White Knight Chronicles and Uncharted 2 were shown to journalists and retailers alike.

Much of the news is embargoed to release over the next few weeks before E3, but we may well have a leak on our hands.

A video podcast on ScrewAttack claims to have an Uncharted 2 scoop - unlike the first game Drake's Fortune, developer Naughty Dog is creating separate cooperative missions in addition to a competitive multiplayer mode.

The single-player will still be the game's main focus but, knowing Naughty Dog, these extra modes will surely come with the same high quality. This is still a big fat rumour, so don't get your hopes up.
