Teacher aids announced for Nintendo DS

Nintendo DS in schools
The Nintendo DS has been invited into Japanese schools after a new tool is announced to aid teachers.

Sharp Systems has announced a new Nintendo DS tool that will allow school teachers to send assignments to their pupils wirelessly. In turn, students will be able to send back their answers to their teacher's DS, where they can be marked.

Sharp System's software can also be used by teachers to plan their lessons and of course as a visual aid during lessons. All the data will also be transferable to PCs for viewing.

You'll find an artist's impression below, but I can see a couple of problems with these tools. Digitising education, though helpful and enriching, should not be implemented into all lessons.

Moreover, owning a Nintendo DS appears to be a requirement, meaning that many pupils will be left out, or further, parents might be pressured into buying one for their child.
