Jack Keane blunders his way onto PCs this week Friday, April 11, 2008 12:00 AM

A mixed bag for all concerned this week, with some big name titles mixed in with some relatively minor releases, such as Jack Keane.

First off, and by far the biggest release of the week, is the Sims 2: Kitchen & Bath Interior Design Stuff. Only kidding, it is actually the Halo 3: Legendary Map Pack. Although difficult to class as a proper release, it will certainly be of interest to a lot of people.

It is the second map pack to be released on Xbox Live Marketplace and will cost 800 Microsoft Points. Befitting the Legendary moniker, this pack contains remakes of old favourites. Avalanche is a reimagining of Halo 1's Sidewinder and Blackout is a remake of Halo 2's Lockout.

Ghost Town, the final map in the pack, isn't a strict remake, but is ... inspired, shall we say, by Turf, using the tileset from Halo 3 campaign map Sierra 117.

The PlayStation 3's feature game this week is Warhawk - Operation: Broken Mirror, atlhough the eagle-eyed among you will notice Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is also released this week. However, it has been available online for a while now, so it doesn't quite count.

Anyway, Broken Mirror is described as a Booster Pack for Warhawk. It will include ten layouts on a new winter battlefield, two new armoured personnel carriers and ten bonus layouts for battlefields from the original game. The new snow-based level will have dynamic weather, with the position of the sun, clouds and so on all affecting snowfall etc.

PC owners have the latest Europa Universalis game to look forward to, this time exploring the world of ancient Rome. Featuring the most impressive graphics of any EU game so far, fans should get just as much out of this as the others.

Jack Keane is also released this week. To see what we thought of it, go here. TrackMania: Nations Forever is also released, for free, this week.

A special final mention for Teenage Zombies: Invasion of the Alien Brain Thingys! on the DS, congratulating on choosing a great name.
