EA has announced the release date for Dead Space Extraction with new details and trailer.
EA and it's Visceral Games studio will release the Nintendo Wii's Dead Space Extraction on October 2nd in Europe and September 29th in the US.
Although you might think Dead Space Extraction is just an on-the-rails-shooter, the development team claims that it will give birth to a new genre, in addition to bringing the Wii an impressive showcase game.
"Our team is really excited to bring the intensity of the Dead Space universe to an entire new audience," said Executive Producer Steve Papoutsis.
"We are going to deliver the same high quality, cinematic experience we delivered in the original Dead Space, while also adding co-op, new enemies, weapons and taking advantage of all of the unique features the Wii has to offer."
A prequel to the original Dead Space, Extraction tells the story of a crew that falls victim to a mysterious contagion. The game will take advantage of the Wii's motion controls in a cinematic first-person perspective to create an action packed horror experience.
Dead Space Extraction introduces new characters, weapons, abilities, enemies, puzzles, and jump-in-jump-out co-operative multiplayer. Enjoy the new Dead Space Extraction trailer below.
