Ninja Gaiden II and GRID out this week

The viscera is plentiful in Ninja Gaiden II, just don't let Anne Diamond anywhere near it
Most of the biggest name games out this week are multiplatform releases like The Incredible Hulk, Kung Fu Panda and Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures.

The major exception, of course, is the intestinal tract-slicing, viscera-spilling action hack-'em-up, Ninja Gaiden II. The game will consist of four difficulty levels, called Paths.

The Path of the Acolyte is the easiest one, followed by Path of the Warrior, Path of the Mentor and Path of the Master Ninja. Path of the Shockmaster was rumoured to be the ultimate challenge, but it turned out to be a joke started by old school WCW fans.

The game has gained some degree of notoriety for the level of gore flying about, with arms, legs and bodies being torn to pieces with knives, scythes and various other slicing implements. Not one of the Daily Mail then.

Next up is Lego Indiana Jones, the next building block-based game from Traveller's Tales. It will follow the storylines from the original film trilogy and, as with Lego Star Wars, the objective is to collect Lego studs to earn the True Adventurer title.

Free Play mode will allow players to change characters during the level, roaming around to find secret items. Each character will have a unique abilities, such Elsa Schneider's double jump.

Fans will be pleased to hear that notable scenes have been recreated from the movies, like the boulder escape and the rope bridge fight.

Kung Fu Panda is another multiplatform release, based on the animated film of the same name. The film stars Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffmann, Lucy Liu, Ian McShane and Jackie Chan.

The Incredible Hulk...well, you know what it is going to be like. Very much in the vein of Spiderman and Transformers, a 3rd-person action game where you beat up enemies and go after big bosses - same old story really. It'll probably be better than Iron Man, though.

Elsewhere, we have Race Driver: GRID (Codemasters' hotly anticipated racing game), Roogoo (a crafty little puzzler) and The Bourne Conspiracy, which is based on the books, not the films (apparently).

Check out the list below to see the other titles out this week. Please note this list is subject to change, as companies decide to change release dates at the last minute on occasion.
